Groth’s New 12F-TWW-0 Pressure/Vacuum Relief Valve, What You Need to Know

Groth 12F-TWW-o Pressure/Vacuum Relief Valve

Looking to reduce emissions and increase safety?

After extensive research and development, Groth Corporation has developed a new safety product for tank equipment, the 12F-TWW-0 Pressure/Vacuum Relief Valve. The new Pressure/Vacuum Relief Valve is designed to reduce costly fugitive emissions and protect equipment and personnel from overpressure or excessive vacuum.

Available from Groth and Groth Authorized Repair Dealers (GARD) the new 12F model’s superior sealing allows customers to reach their required flow rates with a smaller sized valve and 10% overpressure technology. This upgrade is important for applications where the valve is used to control the flow of a hazardous or flammable material.

The Model 12F-TWW-0 PVRV is available in sizes ranging from 2” to 12”, in pressure settings from 0.5 to 24 osig and vacuum settings of 0.464 osig (2 mbarg) to 24 osig. It also offers superior tightness, exceeding API-2000 leak requirements.

Groth’s 12F-TWW-0 Pressure/Vacuum Relief Valve Features:

  • Designed to work with a 10% overpressure.
  • Fugitive emissions are reduced via ultra-tight sealing.
  • Higher flow capacity to protect from both excessive pressure and excessive vacuum build up.
  • Peripheral and central seat guides ensure reliable, repeatable performance.
  • Designed for easy maintenance, thus reducing downtime and operational cost.

Benefits of the New 12F Model:

In addition to reduced emissions, there are several benefits to upgrading to the new 12F-TWW-0 Pressure/Vacuum Relief Valve, including:

  • Increased safety: The increased vent capacity helps to prevent pressure buildup or excessive vacuum, which can lead to leaks or explosions.
  • Improved performance: The larger orifice allows more gas to escape from the valve, which can improve the performance of the valve.
  • Extended service life: The 10% vent upgrade can help to extend the service life of the valve.

Who Needs the Upgrade:

Moving to the new 12F model is recommended for all valves that are used to control the flow of a hazardous or flammable material. This includes valves that are used in:

  • Chemical plants
  • Oil and gas facilities
  • Pharmaceutical plants
  • Power plants
  • Any other facility where there is a risk of a hazardous or flammable material leak

An upgrade to the 12F-TWW-0 pressure/vacuum relief valve is a simple and effective way to reduce emissions and improve safety and performance of your equipment. If you have any questions about the upgrade, contact the experts at Allied Valve, your Groth Authorized Repair Dealer.
